Tuned car? Change it sooner
Factory intervals on many German cars run 10,000 miles or more. On a tuned or tracked car, we suggest halving that. It is cheap insurance on an expensive engine.

Common questions
How often should I change oil on a BMW?
The car's reminder often says 10,000 miles. For turbo engines driven hard, or tuned, 5,000 to 7,500 is a safer number.
Can I use any 5W-30?
Not safely. Use an oil that carries your engine's manufacturer approval. Viscosity alone is not enough.
