PRM Eurowerks (773) 366-5424

Intakes, charge pipes, downpipes, exhaust.

The bolt-ons that make a German turbo car breathe. Installed clean, torqued right, checked for leaks before the keys go back.

What goes on most often

  • Charge pipes. The plastic factory pipe on many BMW turbo engines cracks under boost. Aluminum or titanium fixes it for good.
  • Intakes. Carbon and open-element systems, including Eventuri on AMG and BMW.
  • Downpipes. Catted or not, matched to the tune that has to run with it.
  • Exhaust. Cat-backs, valved systems and full turbo-back.
  • Intercoolers for cars that lose power to heat soak.

Why the install matters

Most bolt-on problems are install problems: a coupler that was not seated, a clamp that was not torqued, a sensor wire that rubs on a hot pipe. We check for boost and vacuum leaks after every intake and charge pipe job, and look at exhaust hangers and clearances with the car loaded on its wheels.

Pairing parts with a tune

Some parts need a map to go with them. A downpipe on a stock tune can throw codes, and a big intake without a tune is mostly noise. We will tell you which parts make sense on their own and which belong with a flash.

Common questions

Do I need a tune with a downpipe?

Usually yes. Most German cars will set emissions codes on a stock map with an aftermarket downpipe. We plan the two together.

Will an exhaust drone on the highway?

Some do. We will tell you what we have seen on your platform and point you toward valved options if you drive a lot of highway miles.
